New Support Guides and Portal for Your Clients

We are pleased to announce that we have created new user guides specifically for your clients which can be found here https://usersupportportal.credas.com

These new guides include:

  • Step-by-step guidance on how to complete our four most common journeys

  • Guidance on completing a NFC check

  • Guidance on how to take a liveness selfie

  • FAQs

We recommend you place a link directly to the new support portal on your website or you can download the materials yourselves and send them to your clients.

Date of Birth Checks

In our ongoing effort to improve and enhance our service offerings, we are introducing a new enhancement to our ID document validations. This enhancement will highlight any discrepancies between the data of birth on your client’s submitted ID document compared to the date of birth provided on the individuals Credas profile.

To see the benefits of this check, when setting up a new individual and sending invites, you will need to add a date of birth within the invite wizard. This can be seen below:

This new check will appear under the IDV document check breakdown screen as ‘Date of Birth match result,’ which can be seen in the image below. This new check will also be included in the PDF exports of individuals.

What the new results mean:

  • Pass: The date of birth on the ID document matches the date of birth given on the individual's invite.

  • Not Performed: No date of birth was provided on the individual's invite, so the check is not performed.

  • Refer: The date of birth on the ID document does not match the date of birth given on the individual's invite. This discrepancy can be addressed as outlined below.

Actions you need to take

No immediate action is required from your side. However, if you do not currently include your clients date of birth during the invite wizard setup, you will need to start doing so if you wish to benefit from this new check.

Dashboards
If you do not already have this feature enabled, we will be adding our dashboard tab for you within your portal. This dashboard gives you a high-level overview of checks sent out from your portal, such as how many invites have been sent out in the last month and a breakdown of the ID documents submitted by your clients.

Re-try mechanism

We are implementing a new feature designed to assist you and your clients in the event of a rare outage with one of our third-party data providers.

This enhancement aims to improve your clients’ experience and ensure continuity of service. To do this, we are employing a retry mechanism that will automatically re-run checks so your clients will not lose their progress in their journey

Changes to the end-user experience

If on the off-chance, there is an outage of one of our data providers while your client is completing their journey, they will now be presented with the following screen.

We will then re-run the data checks in the background and contact the end user via email/SMS should there be any further steps to complete.

This update aims to give as little disruption as possible to your clients.

Changes in the Portal

We are also implementing a UI change to the Credas portal, so you are aware when an end-user has experienced an outage to aid with your troubleshooting. Within the process’s tab, you will see a new ‘Awaiting Data Provider’ status on the data check in question if the outage has occurred, as can be seen in the image below.

API Users

We will also provide API users with the same additional status; this will be viewed when you are calling the Process Details endpoint - api/v2/ci/processes/{processId}/details
