The following improvements have been released to our sandbox (demo) environment this month. Moving forwards, we are aiming to complete releases within a week of any future production releases.

Developments

Improvements to postcode lookup item - client portal

We have improved the validation and usability of the postcode / address lookup item so that client users are better informed whilst using. Improvements include better validation messages and enabling search button only when valid UK format it entered.

Re-running checks

If a client user changes details on individuals profile and is offered to re-run any checks

Notifications

We will now only load the first 20 notifications a client has, any further notifications can be accessed by selecting to view more.

New Postcode Lookup Provider

We have introduced a new postcode lookup provider. This new provider is now used within the end user portal and within the client portal. The new provider will see improvement in coverage and available addresses.

GPG 45 Profiles for RTX

We will now display the achieved GPG45 profile for all RTX legislations within the client portal in the DIATF active check card and also within any IDV sections of PDF exports.

Updating Credas logo

We have updated the Credas logo to reflect SmartSearch within our system.

Safe Harbour: Automated Results

We now automatically determine a Safe Habour pass when all of the following are true:

  • A biometric passport is supplied;
  • The NFC chip is successfully read and verified;
  • Biometric facial match is successful;
  • Address & Mortality checks pass;
  • There are no refers or manual remediation needed.

For more information regarding automated safe harbour results, please click here.

Supporting Document Remediation in PDFs

Remediation comments added to supporting documents are now included in PDF exports, matching existing behaviour for biometric documents and other checks.

SOF (Giftor) Funding Source Validation

We have added field validation for the giftor funding source to align with other sources and reduce invalid data entry.

Percentage Complete on Individuals Table

We have improved the % column to a completion status. Please see our update here for more information.

Remove name from create entity in client API Swagger

We have removed the 'Name' property from the create entity endpoint as this is a legacy item which is no longer required. The first name, middle name and surname properties are still available and should be used.

Valid Document Type ID Validation

Highlighting mismatches in results

To help you stay on top of documents discrepancies, new alerts will be introduced in the Client Portal when an uploaded document does not match the selected document type and isn't valid for the journey configuration. In some rare cases, like when upload attempts are exceeded, users may still submit an incorrect document. Within the breakdown of the IDV check results we have added an additional check item called 'Valid Document Type' which will show the following results:

  • Pass - The document provided is a valid configured option
  • Fail - The document provided is not a valid configured option
  • Not performed - The document was provided prior to us implementing this change

What's changing for individuals completing the checks?

When an individual selects an identity document type (e.g., passport) but attempts to capture a different document (e.g., driving licence), they will now be promoted to either:

  • Upload the correct document type, or
  • Go back and select a valid alternative from the list

This aims to reduce confusion, errors and improve check success rates.

What's changing for API clients?

When the uploaded document does not match the selection and is not a valid configured required document type - but does manage to be submitted - and is flagged as a mismatch we will highlight this in the API:

  • API responses will include a document_type_mismatch flag when applicable
  • A descriptive error message will be included detailing the mismatch
  • The API response will remain consistent with schema expectations, with clear documentation

Endpoint affected:

  • /api/v2/ci/entities/{entityId}/idv-entries
  • /api/v2/ci/entities/{entityId}/idv-entries/{entryId}

Once updated in the IDV entry itself, any endpoint that returns the IDV entry will include the new IDV entry object where applicable such as

  • /api/v2/ci/processes/{processId}/details
  • /api/v2/ci/entities/{entityId}/summary
  • /api/v2/ci/entities/{entityId}/active-checks

Payments

Our team have been working hard this year to bring you our new product - Credas' payment solution. Please find out more here: Credas Payments - Credas

Account Registration

We have improved our account registration by adding a back button when users are setting up their 2FA for account registration. Users can then go back and change their 2FA if needed when setting up their 2FA.

KYB (Know Your Business) – Company Searches via API

We have completed the development of API endpoints for company searches, now available in the ‘Company’ section of the Swagger API documentation. These endpoints enable users to:

  • Search for a company.
  • Retrieve business data and business sanctions data.
  • Export company reports in PDF format.
  • Access a list of previously added companies and relevant data.

Additionally, new endpoints allow users to create entities for directors, shareholders, and Persons with Significant Control (PSC), which can then be used for data checks or process initiation.

Open Banking

We have improved the Open Banking transaction data by:

  • Including transaction descriptions for better clarity.
  • Enhancing merchant/payer/payee name labelling to improve data accuracy.

Profile of Interest  - Match parameter added to summary endpoint

Document Stuck in requested state

Where an Identity Document has been provided from a sanctioned country, our IDV provider fails the document. This was previously leaving the liveness incomplete, so e have now resolved this issue to produce a liveness result.

Expired invites allowed to reactivate

An issue identified with our email provider was allowing expired invites to be re-activated using the link in the original email/SMS received. This has now been resolved and access restricted correctly to expired invites.

Incorrect year display

We have resolved an issue with read only date fields converting the date into the following year. Dates saved and used were correct however the display was misleading.

Handling addresses not being found within Land Registry

We have made changes to handle where a property address is not found with Land Registry when running a check to allow end-users to continue the checks without any disruptions.

Supporting documents 'PDF' files types causing errors

We have resolved an issue that was occurring where PDF file types were being provided as supporting documents and failing to render correctly within the portal, and causing issues exporting PDFs.

An issue has been rectified where in certain instances when a name of an individual was edited within the portal, and a name check re-run, the ID document was no longer visible within the active check card.

Bank Account Check Missing from API PDF Export

We have resolved an issue where PDF reports retrieved via the below endpoint excluded the bank account verification report even when it was part of the process. The report is now correctly included.

GET/api/v2/ci/processes/{processID}/pdf-export

Premature process complete notifications (CIFAS pending)

We have carried out work to ensure the process complete webhook does not trigger until any CIFAS back office tasks that have been generated, are complete. This prevents clients viewing any check results prior to the final result being determined.

Acruis Data - Invalid Dates

We have resolved an issue from invalid dates in Acruis data such as the '31st September', these dates will now not cause failures for PEPs & Sanctions data handling.

Credit Cards in Open Banking

We have fixed an issue where linked credit cards accounts with open banking data that could case an error.These are now handled gracefully.
