An Overview of our Journeys & Products

This article will provide you with an overview of the products Credas offers. At Credas we offer our products in two distinctive ways:

1. Through pre-built 'journeys' that encompasses different checks or tasks which can be sent out to individuals to complete, for an example an AML journey.

2. Through products that you can order manually on the Credas platform, such as our KYB solution or manual data checks.

The products/journeys you have available to use will depend on your sector, and requirements of using Credas. If you are interested in using any of the products/journeys discussed below that are currently not available on your portal, please reach out to our team at sales@credas.com.

Biometric Identity Verification

Our Identity Verification solution covers 2,500+ documents across 195 countries which includes the below checks:

  • NFC Scan: Our software can scan the NFC chip within an e-passport to read the biometric data to confirm its validity.
  • Visual Analysis: Our software scrutinises the ID document against a high level of authentication checks. These elements are automatically extracted using OCR (optical character recognition) and are checked using algorithms to verify the composite checksum digits, expected date ranges etc. to confirm the documents validity.
  • Facial Match: We confirm the individual in the selfie matches the person in the photo ID using facial recognition technology. In addition to biometrics, our facial recognition technology also captures traditional algorithms to identify facial features and landmarks from the image of the face. If both the selfie and photo image is clear, the system will analyse the shape and size of the individuals face, inline with the position of their eyes, mouth and ears to confirm a match.
  • Name Match: Name check confirms the name on the invite you entered when sending the journey mates the name on the Identity Document.
  • Date of Birth Match: Date of Birth check confirms the date of birth on the invite you entered when sending the journey mates the date of birth on the Identity Document.
  • Mismatch Check: This checks whether the Identity Document captured by the individual
  • Age Validation Result: This checks whether the date of birth on the Identity Document confirms the holder to be at least 16 years of age, as that is the minimum age we verify.
  • Police Record: This checks the Metropolitan Police 'Amberhill' database to determine whether the document has been recorded as lost, stolen, or compromised.
  • Compromise Alert: This checks national databases of reported compromised documents.
  • Repeated Attempts: This checks whether the document has been submitted before but with different information (i.e. same face and passport number, but different date of birth).

These can be found here.

PEPs & Sanctions Screening

We offer a selection of different checks that can be included in your PEPs & Sanctions check including:

  • PEPs: The individuals name and date of birth will be checked against international and domestic PEP databases. This includes former and associated PEPs.
  • Sanctions: The individuals name and date of birth will be checked against international and domestic sanction databases. This includes former sanctions.
  • Adverse Media: Evidence that an individual has been reported and involved in financial crime from global newspapers, new sites or other verified media.
  • Disqualified Directors: This will check if the individual has been disqualified as acting as a director of a UK company, sourced directly from Companies House.
  • Law Enforcement: Evidence of official documentation that the individual is on a watch-list from Law Enforcement bodies such as the Police or any other agency such as Interpol or the FBI will be flagged.
  • Profiles of Interest: A POI is desgined as a person that can be linked to outdated reg flags, such as an expired PEP status, reputational risk or regulatory measures no longer in force.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Ongoing Monitoring automatically re-runs PEP & Sanctions checks of individuals for a period of your choosing. This includes daily checks to verify that no new risks or issues have arisen that could impact the transaction.
